The Yolo Community Foundation (YCF) is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 scholarship season. We invite students in Yolo County to apply for a range of scholarships designed to support those pursuing higher education, vocational training, or community service projects.
YCF is pleased to collaborate with the Sacramento Region Community Foundation to offer the following scholarships for the 2026 academic year. All applications are due by March 13, 2026.
1. The Saylor Family Scholarship
This scholarship supports students in Davis or Winters who have faced significant life challenges, including foster care, the loss of a family member during high school, teen parenthood, behavioral health issues, or financial hardship. Awardees may receive up to $2,500.
2. The Mary Ellen Dolcini Scholarship
In honor of a long-time community leader, this scholarship is available to high school seniors of Mexican American descent from Davis, Woodland, and surrounding areas in Yolo County. Awardees can receive up to $10,000 to pursue a college education.
3. The Julia R. Millon Memorial Scholarship
Created to honor Julia Millon’s spirit, this scholarship supports high school students living within the Winters School District who plan to attend a Four-Year College/University, Community College, Vocational, Trade or Technical school in the Fall. Awardees will receive $1,500.
4. Roy and Cynthia Kroener Family Scholarship
Designed for graduating high school seniors from Davis, CA, this scholarship is for students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who demonstrate financial need. Awardees may receive up to $5,000.
5. The Yolo Youth Service Award (YoYoSA) Scholarship
This scholarship supports high school seniors who have volunteered at a Yolo County nonprofit organization for at least 60 hours during their junior and/or senior years. Awardees will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a $500 grant to their sponsoring nonprofit.
6. The NorYo Opportunity Scholarship
For high school seniors from Northern Yolo County, this scholarship supports students planning to attend a community college or vocational school. Award amounts range from $1,000-$10,000.
7. The David Breaux Scholarship
Honoring a beloved Davis community member, this scholarship is open to high school seniors and first-year college students who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to social justice and compassionate service. Awardees can receive up to $2,000.
8. The Richard & Lucille Harrison Scholarship
Awarded to students from Woodland with aspirations to improve their lives through education and training, this scholarship offers up to $10,000 in support.
9. The Kathleen Barsotti Scholarship for Sustainable Agriculture
This scholarship is for high school seniors in Yolo County pursuing an education that incorporates sustainable agriculture. The scholarship is not limited to agriculture majors. Awardees may receive up to $4,000 to be payable at $1,000 per year.
10. Creative Arts and Science Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide financial support to Esparto High School students who exemplify creativity in their lives. Awardees can receive between $1,000-$1,500.

All scholarship applications are due by Friday, March 13, 2026.
Local High School Scholarships YCF fundholders also support scholarships administered by the Davis Joint Unified School District, including:
● The Barbara Neu Memorial Scholarship for students who attended Fairfield Elementary and are graduating from a high school in Davis. Awardees can receive up to $5,000.
● The Todd Erickson Memorial Scholarship for students graduating from a Davis high school with a history in Davis swimming and/or water polo. Awardees can receive up to $1,500.
● The Paul Makley Memorial Scholarship for students graduating from a high school in Davis exhibiting integrity, kindness, and a commitment to community service.
