Urban Sketching with Pete Scully

Urban Sketching with Pete Scully
Saturday, May 9, 10 AM – 4 PM
$140 Members, $160 Non-Members (Materials not included)
Urban sketching is a fun and accessible way to see and connect with where you live with a sketchbook! In this one-day workshop with Pete Scully, students will draw in ink and pencil and watercolor, and learn some principles of perspective and composition. You’ll explore how to ‘see’ what to sketch, discover how to ‘un-puzzle’ an urban scene, and let your sketches tell a story. Students will also loosen up with some quick people sketches! Sketching will be done both inside and outside; if you like to sit when you sketch, a light portable stool is recommended. Artists of all levels are welcome, including beginners. Prior drawing experience is helpful, but not required.
