California Duck Days

April 25 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Free

Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 25, when California Duck Days returns to Davis for a fun-filled, family-friendly outdoor festival. Held at the scenic Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area, this free community event celebrates wetlands, wildlife, and conservation with activities for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences like wetland pond exploration, where participants step into the water to discover aquatic life, and creative stations such as duck decoy painting and tule crafting, while interactive science activities—including owl pellet dissections and water quality testing—offer fascinating insights into local ecosystems.

Animal encounters are a highlight of the day: guests can meet birds of prey presented by Native Bird Connections, learn about bats from Norcal Bats, and enjoy close-up moments with adorable ducklings. There will even be fly fishing lessons with Fly Fishers of Davis, duck calling demonstrations, and working dog showcases!

Food trucks will be available for refreshments, and visitors are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. Please note that dogs are not permitted.
