STEAC Speaker Series

This one-hour webinar event brings on local experts in fields related to STEAC’s mission to share their knowledge with the community.

Executive Director of the Yolo County Housing Authority, Ian Evans, will be joining us to discuss the work he does to support our communities across Yolo. Ian has an extensive background in areas that include mental health, substance use, and homelessness, just to name a few. He oversaw the development and formal adoption of the Yolo County Plan to Address Homelessness in 2019 and was instrumental in the creation of the current 2023-2026 Plan, helping bring additional permanent supportive housing to the County.

During his time with Yolo County Housing, he and his team have increased the number of project-based vouchers in the County by almost double, which will lead to the development of more than 100 new housing units being built over the next several years and will ensure that another 100 remain affordable for at least the next 20 years.
