2026 Imagining America Gathering Kick-off Event

Please join Imagining America and the Davis community to celebrate and begin our journey organizing the 2026 IA National Gathering in Davis, CA!
This welcome event is an opportunity to create community around our collective work on public scholarship and artmaking, regional cultural organizing, and institutional change in higher education. We will provide food and a creative activity featuring screen-printed artwork from Taller Arte de Nuevo Amanecer (TANA). Family, friends, and colleagues are welcome.
Every year, IA organizes a regional Steering Committee to add wisdom, expertise, and energy to the planning and launch of the National Gathering – join us February 4th to kick off the process. Whether you are interested in joining the committee or not, come to hear from national IA organizers and regional collaborators about the exciting work ahead.
