Kickoff of the 50th anniversary of the Davis Farmers Market

This brief, celebratory gathering will capture a true moment in time—honoring 50 years of farmers, families, and community coming together each week. Media will have the opportunity to speak with the Davis Farmers Market Executive Director, who has led the market for over 40 years, about what this milestone means for Davis and the next generation of the market.

Founded in 1976 by UC Davis alumni with just three vendors, the market has grown into a vibrant weekly gathering of more than 100 sellers and thousands of attendees. This anniversary celebrates not just longevity, but the people and relationships that have grown alongside the market.
