Kick off Black History Month with a family friendly afternoon of theatre, live music, slam poetry, and dance. The Sankofa Experience is a progressive continuum of effort focused on combating hate and anti-Blackness by utilizing the arts to educate, entertain, and elevate. Ancestors will rise, as we showcase scenes and original hip-hop from a new play in development based on the award winning children’s book: “Grandpa, Is Everything Black Bad?”
