Davis Chamber Foundation announces 2026 scholarships for high school seniors

By: Bobbi Vaughn | Director of Events & Communications

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating local area high school seniors.

The Davis Chamber of Commerce Foundation announced that it is offering two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from all local area high schools – Davis Senior High, Martin Luther King High School, Da Vinci Charter Academy, Davis Independent Studies, Grace Valley Academy, and seniors homeschooled within the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD).

Since 1984, the Davis Chamber Foundation has asked eligible students to submit a writing prompt and complete the scholarship packet. Submitted prompts are graded anonymously by the Foundation and Chamber Board participants, and the top two highest scores are chosen to receive the scholarships. To date, more than 45 scholarships and over $40,000 has been awarded.

Scholarships are awarded based on students’ writing response, and not based on school attendance, parental income, GPA, or school they will be attending. Scholarship funds can be used for universities, community colleges, trade schools or other specialized career programs.

The Foundation is made up of individuals from local area businesses. All Committee members must be chamber members through their employment or as individuals.

Deadline to apply is Monday, April 6, 2026.

2026 Scholarship information can be found on the Davis Chamber of Commerce website

2026 winners will be announced onstage at Celebrate Davis on May 15, 2026.
