The STEAC Speaker Series is a quarterly web event that provides a platform for local experts in the fields related to STEAC’s mission to share their knowledge with the community. This month, Executive Director of the Woodland Food Closet, Tania Garcia-Cadena, will be discussing the impact that the Woodland Food Closet has made for our neighbors in need.
Since 1968, the Woodland Food Closet has provided food and toiletries to families in the area. Ms. Garcia-Cadena joined the team in 2018 and a few years later she accepted the role of executive director. In 2024, she was appointed to the Woodland City Council and served as mayor. Today, in addition to her work at the Woodland Food Closet, she is also a Council Member for District 3 in Woodland.
