Leaders in the City of Davis are exploring a new name for the Davis Senior Citizens Center and have invited the community to participate in a survey on the topic.
The City says they’re interested in a name that better reflects the vibrant and diverse role it plays in the community.
Since its opening in 1983, the City says the Senior Center has served as a focal point for older adults, adaptive recreation programs, community events and public facility rentals. It has been a hub of connection, learning and celebration for people of all ages and abilities.
“As our community evolves, we are considering a new name that honors the centerās legacy while embracing its inclusive nature,” reads an announcement from the City. “While our focus remains on our senior programming, your feedback will help ensure a new name reflects the wide range of people, programs and possibilities that make this center so special.”
Feedback is open through Friday, June 27. ClickĀ HEREĀ to take the survey
