PENCE GALLERY. Fashion a colorful, layered collage of Davis flora and fauna out of cut paper! Using precut shapes like petals, leaves, feathers, and scales, create your own little ecosystem and leave with a unique piece of art representing our local habitat. This project is a special collaboration with artist Ro Mottsmith and is limited to the first 15 participants on a first come, first served basis. 1p—3p. $4 Members, $8 Non-Members
PENCE GALLERY. Have lots of fun creating with felt! Start with an easy, no-sew felt craft and then make a felt stuffed animal using a needle and thread, cotton stuffing, patterned fabric, buttons, beads, and much more. Stay as long or as short as you like over the two hour period. 1p—3p. $4—8

PENCE GALLERY. Part of the Pence’s Healing Arts Program and run by facilitator Amy Vidra, this one-time, 90-minute art workshop focuses more broadly on a theme related to depression, anxiety, or major life changes. 2pm—3:30pm. Free
PENCE GALLERY. Participants will learn design, composition, shape, line, point, value, and color, as well as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolor techniques. Students will produce an interactive artwork by combining watercolor expression and abstraction, sketches of natural objects, and Chinese calligraphy. PENCE GALLERY. Both assemblage and sculpture combine various objects to create a three-dimensional work of art. A sculpture may use a limited palette of materials or colors to unify the piece to make it cohesive. In this three-hour workshop, students will learn the basics of sculpture with artist Amy Vidra. Participants will be guided through the fundamentals of sculpture and will have time to stroll through Davis to find their own inspirational found objects to include in their pieces.
