Story Circles for Community Connection in Yolo County

INTERNATIONAL HOUSE. This community listening and sharing event provides a space to build empathy and connection by coming together to tell our stories and learn from one another. Staff from Imagining America will facilitate the event using the powerful story circles methodology created by artist John O’Neal from the Free Southern Theater. INTERNATIONAL HOUSE. Yalda, the Persian celebration of light for the Winter Solstice, celebrates the changing seasons and the return of light after the longest day of the year. This ancient tradition brings together a vibrant tapestry of cultures, from Iran to Afghanistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and beyond. 5p—7p. $10—35
