Black Maternal Health Week Event

DAVIS VETERANS MEMORIAL THEATER. Communicare+Ole Health Centers is hosting our 4th annual Black Maternal Health Week event. The program starts at 2pm with light refreshments and tabling by local community organizations. The documentary, Birthing Justice, will begin at 3:30pm, followed by a Q&A panel discussion with Black maternity care professionals & audience from 5-6pm. The film addresses the impact of racism on disparate outcomes for Black families & provides a mandate with examples for change.  The goal of the event is to bring together maternity care providers & community members to learn about one another’s experiences, highlight community resources available to support Black families, & work together to improve outcomes & birthing experiences for Black families in our community. 2p – 6p.
