FEB 10 THRU APR 2. PENCE GALLERY. Each year, the California Art Club (est. 1909) holds a juried exhibition promoting artists who follow in the tradition of realism & craftsmanship established by the Club’s founders. This year, the Pence will display the Club’s juried exhibit of figurative paintings by select CAC artists, as juried by master painter Dan Schultz. Reception Feb 10.
PENCE GALLERY. A joint exhibit featuring the work of painter Toni Rizzo, of Davis, and sculptor Cathi Newlin, of Sacramento. Both artists have a light-hearted, playful take on artmaking that leads them to explore imagery full of fantasy, surrealism, or comedic exaggeration.
PENCE GALLERY. The Pence’s Slice exhibit is open for application by California artists working in any medium (except video or sound). This is an ‘open theme’ exhibit, which showcases art that is conceptually thoughtful, technically skilled, and representative of contemporary trends in art. Apply online, link in post. $30 member

LOGOS BOOKS. Artist Philip Renner's show “A Beachcomber’s Camera” features digital photography of Shell Beach in Sonoma County and prints produced with the Kallitype process.
MULTIPLE VENUES. A monthly, self-guided art walk featuring installations & receptions at local galleries, art co-ops & businesses. Enjoy live music, a wine tasting, & conversations with special artists. 5p–9p.
ZOOM. Pence Gallery Art History Lecture Series features Dr. Mya Dosch, who explores protest artworks in the streets of Mexico City, from banners to provocative performances. 2—3p. $10 donation suggested.
