SUMMARY:Beetlejuice Jr
DESCRIPTION:Beetlejuice Jr – March 14 through April 5\, 2026\nSchool Matinees: March 31\, 2026; 9:15am and noon \n  \nIt’s our show now\, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR.\, the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager\, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia\, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice\, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse\, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes\, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. \nRecommended for ages 10 & up \n  \nDirected by Tea Pusey\nChoreographed by Logan Sexton\nMusical direction by Montana Monce

His music is an Americana mix\, rooted in straight-ahead Bluegrass and branching out to include folk\, country\, blues\, oldies\, and other styles. \nDan started playing Scruggs-style banjo in 1974\, during the Washington\, DC area’s heyday as a hotbed of bluegrass music\, earned a B.A. in Music Theory from George Washington University in 1984\, and picked up some skills on acoustic guitar\, mandolin\, and dobro along the way. SUMMARY:The Crucible @ the Woodland Opera House
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Tom and Meg Stallard\nThe Crucible by Arthur Miller\nMarch 20 – April 4\, 2026 \nSet in 1692 Salem\, Massachusetts\, The Crucible follows the eruption of mass hysteria in a close-knit town after a group of young girls is discovered dancing in the woods. To avoid punishment\, the girls begin accusing townspeople of witchcraft\, igniting a wave of fear that fractures the wider community. As the court demands confessions\, respected citizens are forced to choose between self-preservation and truth. The accusations spiral into tragedy\, revealing how lies\, power\, and fear can destroy a society from within. Written in 1953 by famed American playwright Arthur Miller\, the play is in part an allegory for the anti-communist hysteria of the McCarthy era\, exploring the dangers of false accusations and the abuse of power. \nFor information on purchasing tickets please visit www.WoodlandOperaHouse.org or call our Box Office at (530) 666-9617. \n$20-45
