DESCRIPTION:Sahar Khoury’s largest solo exhibition to date\, Sahar Khoury: Weights & Measures\, expands on her 2023 solo exhibition\, Sahar Khoury: Umm\, at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Ohio. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories\, food\, music\, and mourning. DESCRIPTION:Linda Clark Johnson: Sunshine & Shadows\nExhibit: May 2 – June 21\, 2026\nLinda Clark Johnson is a Sacramento artist who primarily works with cyanotype\, an early photographic process that uses UV light to create luminous blue images without a camera or negative. Captivated by sunlight and always gathering plants\, she prints in her backyard\, capturing botanical impressions and their shadows on watercolor paper or fabric. She then uses natural toners\, collage\, watercolor\, and colored pencil to add layers of depth and detail to her work. Through her cyanotype prints\, she celebrates experimentation and the wonder of the natural world\, creating art that feels tranquil and atmospheric. \nArtist Talk & Reception: Sunday\, May 17\, 1-2:30 PM (Free)\nJoin artist Linda Clark Johnson as she discusses her artistic process in working with cyanotype\, including her love of sunlight and her ways of gathering and arranging plants. DESCRIPTION:Rachel Breen\, piano \nHanns Eisler Klavierstuke\, op. 32 – Rachel Breen\, Guest Artist \nBrahms Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major \nKorngold Suite for 2 Violins\, Cello\, And Piano Left Hand \nAmerican pianist Rachel Breen’s performances have been described as “truly show-stopping” (Gramophone UK)\, having “a beautiful piano sound and original detail.” She is a student of the late Lars Vogt at Hannover’s Hochschule für Musik; previously\, she completed degrees at Yale University and the Juilliard School under–respectively–Boris Slutsky and Julian Martin. Breen was self-taught until age 10\, when she began lessons with Dr. Sharon Mann at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is indebted to the Imogen Cooper Music Trust\, of which she is a 2024 scholar. \nLaureate of the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition\, Breen has also been awarded top prizes at Premi Iturbi (2023)\, the Hans von Bülow International Competition (2023)\, the Bösendorfer International Competition (2023)\, the Honens International Piano Competition (2022)\, the Beethoven International Competition in Vienna (2021)\, and the Georges Cziffra International Competition (2019)\, among others. She was selected as the 2021-23 National Federation of Music Clubs’ Young Artist in the US\, and received the 2021 Kurt Alten Prize at her university in Germany. \n
