SUMMARY:Color / Texture / Pattern at Gallery 625
DESCRIPTION:Gallery 625’s current exhibition is an appreciation of color\, texture\, and pattern explored through photography. Featuring 21 Northern California artists and over 50 artworks\, Color / Texture / Pattern highlights a wide range of perspectives\, styles\, and subject matter. \nHosted by YoloArts in partnership with the Woodland Camera Forum\, this photography exhibition aligns with Photography Month Sacramento 2026\, which will take place in April. Photography Month is a region-wide celebration of the photographic arts reaching across communities and bringing people together. \nPhotography Month Sacramento remarks\, “When we take and share photographs we are creating a common visual history and visual language. Exhibitions of photographic art hold a mirror up to society\, reflecting its interests and concerns while simultaneously confronting its ideologies and preconceptions. \nPhotography Month helps create opportunities for photographic artists by creating more physical spaces dedicated to the appreciation of the photographic arts and to create opportunities for vital discussions about images and ideas\, to bring diverse communities together in a shared space\, and to generate income for the local economy.” \nGallery 625 will hold a reception for Color / Texture / Pattern on Friday\, April 3\, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. with live music provided by Harold Sexton and light refreshments. At 6:15 p.m. award winners will be announced. The “Best in Show” award\, sponsored by Blue Wing Gallery\, will be presented by Al Eby. The “Second Prize” award\, sponsored by the Woodland Camera Forum\, will be presented by Susan Lord Bovey. \nThe “People’s Choice” award\, sponsored by YoloArts\, will open for voting on March 19 and close on April 15. The award winner will be announced via Social Media on April 17. SUMMARY:The Crucible @ the Woodland Opera House
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Tom and Meg Stallard\nThe Crucible by Arthur Miller\nMarch 20 – April 4\, 2026 \nSet in 1692 Salem\, Massachusetts\, The Crucible follows the eruption of mass hysteria in a close-knit town after a group of young girls is discovered dancing in the woods. To avoid punishment\, the girls begin accusing townspeople of witchcraft\, igniting a wave of fear that fractures the wider community. As the court demands confessions\, respected citizens are forced to choose between self-preservation and truth. The accusations spiral into tragedy\, revealing how lies\, power\, and fear can destroy a society from within. Written in 1953 by famed American playwright Arthur Miller\, the play is in part an allegory for the anti-communist hysteria of the McCarthy era\, exploring the dangers of false accusations and the abuse of power. \nFor information on purchasing tickets please visit www.WoodlandOperaHouse.org or call our Box Office at (530) 666-9617. \n$20-45

SUMMARY:Weave a Willow Bird Feeder
DESCRIPTION:Willow is a wonderful\, abundant riparian resource well-suited to weaving\, thanks to the strength and flexibility of its stems. In this workshop led by Natascha Paxton participants will learn a simple spiral weave technique to craft a small bird feeder out of ‘Sandbar Willow.’ Participants will also learn how to make their own vegan\, peanut-free bird seed balls to fill their feeders and support local birds. \nThis is a gentle\, beginner-friendly introduction to working with willow and an approachable first weaving project. If you are interested in working further with willow and advancing your weaving skills\, check out our upcoming Willow Basketry workshop with Samantha Iacobello! \nAll tools and materials will be provided. This workshop requires hand strength\, the ability to do repetitive hand movements\, and comfort sitting on the ground for extended periods of time. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring a cushion or low lawn chair for seating. You are welcome to bring your favorite utility or pocket knife and a set of pruning shears if you have either. \nAge 12+. \n

SUMMARY:Beetlejuice Jr
DESCRIPTION:Beetlejuice Jr – March 14 through April 5\, 2026\nSchool Matinees: March 31\, 2026; 9:15am and noon \n  \nIt’s our show now\, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR.\, the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager\, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia\, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice\, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse\, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes\, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. \nRecommended for ages 10 & up \n  \nDirected by Tea Pusey\nChoreographed by Logan Sexton\nMusical direction by Montana Monce
