The "Sound Track of a Coup d 'Etat"  was the winner of the 2024 World Cinema Documentary  Special Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival.  It is nominated for an Oscar for best documentary film of 2024.  The film chronicles how unbeknownest to the leading  black  jazz musicians of the fifties, they were employed by the CIA as U.S. ambassadors to newly formed African nations. 7p—9:30p.
