The UC Davis Professor Emeritus' first solo U.S. museum exhibition in 20 years brings to light the pioneering artist’s rarely seen contributions to the history of contemporary painting and filmmaking, radical Black politics & to the story of California art. Integrates paintings & films by Henderson that offer new ideas about Black life in the visual languages of protest, Afro-futurism & surrealism.

Fess-Uecker's work has been shown in numerous juried shows & in the galleries in the many states in which she has resided. Each year, the California Art Club (est. 1909) holds a juried exhibition promoting artists who follow in the tradition of realism & craftsmanship established by the Club’s founders. CRUESS HALL. Branwen Okpako, associate professor of cinema & digital media, has adapted Helon Habila’s The Chibok Girls into an experimental documentary, Return to Chibok. The film re-enacts the journey to visit those left behind after the shocking kidnapping of 276 girls from Chibok Girls School (Nigeria) in 2014.
