Youth Theatre Auditions: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Acme Theatre Company invites all 9th – 12th grade students to audition for their upcoming winter production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, adapted by Simon Stephens.
This ensemble-driven drama follows the experiences of Christopher – an exceptionally intelligent, neurodivergent 15-year-old boy – who is under suspicion of killing his neighbor’s dog, Wellington, with a garden fork. Determined to find the true culprit, Christopher carefully records each fact of the crime. Ultimately, his detective work takes him on a deeply personal quest that upturns his world.
Auditions will be held Oct 21-23 at the Davis Arts Center. Rehearsals will be held after school October 28 -January 3, with intense rehearsals over Thanksgiving and winter break. Performances will be January 3 – 12.
Technical theatre opportunities are also available including set construction, costumes, props, lights, sound, assistant stage management, dramturgy and ushering.
