Printmaking with Emma Montalbano

This 2 day workshop will survey different printmaking techniques: screen printing, block printing, and monotype printing.Attendees will learn the basics of image-based screen printing; bring any image of choice and create a screen with emulsion. Learn the differences in materials within block printing, including different block materials and inks, and how to safely carve a design into a linocut, wood, or rubber block. Explore the unique method of monotype printing, which creates a single image each time you print. Participants will also learn how to paint with ink, different ink removal techniques to create designs, and mono-print techniques with images. Materials included.
