Stephen Herzog Ph.D. is Professor of the Practice at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. He co-chairs the Beyond Nuclear Deterrence Working Group, a MacArthur Foundation and Harvard Project on Managing the Atom initiative. He will discuss his recent research on how anti-nuclear weapons activism can both succeed and fail in influencing the U.S. public and government officials.
Masako Toki is a Senior Project Manager and Research Associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. She will talk about disarmament and nonproliferation education for high school students and undergraduates, and Middlebury Institute graduate programs. She also touches upon the importance of learning from Hibakusha survivors.
