Natalie Simons – Album Release Concert

Natalie Simons returns to her hometown for an album release show.  Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, Simons was known in Northern California primarily for her classical trumpet chops, having earned prestigious spots in the California State Honor Band, the Sacramento Youth Symphony’s Premier Orchestra, the DHS Symphony Orchestra and Davis Young Artist Chamber Ensemble.  In Brooklyn, she’s become a regular on the Brooklyn singer/songwriter circuit, performing both solo and in small groups with her guitar and voice – developing a following for her heartfelt lyricism, emotive vocals and fingerstyle guitar work.

Her freshman album, “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” was recorded and produced with her father, Jeff Simons, during the pandemic and features guest spots by local musicians Keith Cary (Pedal Steel), Mike Bender (Lap Steel), Andrew Enberg (Drums), Leo Adamian (Drums), Eric Wellington (Drums), Julian Sommer (Cello) and Nolan O’Hara (Field Recording).  Simons and her father recorded guitars, bass, trumpet and various electronic sounds and loops at home in Davis, and in a camper in  Joshua Tree and Bombay Beach, CA.  The album is currently available on Spotify and Apple Music, and individual tracks may be found on YouTube.

Proof of Vaccination will be required at the door.  Doors open at 7:30PM.  $10.00 admission is suggested but all will be welcome.
