Jennifer Packer, Artist-in-Residence

UC Davis Dept. of Art and Art History’s California Studio presents Jennifer Packer, a painter known for her portraits, still lives, and interior scenes, on Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m. in the Main Theatre, Wright Hall.
Packer has been recognized by the American Academy of Arts and Letters and received the Nancy B. Negley Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome in 2020–21. She was the 2012–13 Artist-in-Residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem and a Visual Arts Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA, from 2014 to 2016. Packer is an assistant professor in the Painting Department at the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the Winter 2022 Arist-in-Residence at UC Davis.
This program is part of The California Studio: Manetti Shrem Artist Residencies, dedicated to the practice of art in a teaching and research environment.
