Black Legacy Project @ the Melon Ball 2/5/25

February 5 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join us for a FREE show open to all! The Black Legacy Project is a musical celebration of Black history to advance racial solidarity, equity, and belonging. A multimedia experience that includes film, conversation, and live musical performances, Black LP concerts inspire, inform, educate, and entertain audiences.
The Black Legacy Project features riveting reimaginations of songs central to the Black American experience by artists such as Sam Cooke, Bruce Springsteen, Arrested Development, Indigo Girls, and others as well as originals relevant to the pressing calls for
change of our time. Black LP’s second album, Vol. 2, will be released in February 2025 along with a feature-length film of the project.
The Black Legacy Project is produced by Music in Common, an Atlanta-based, globally serving nonprofit that curates experiences for people across social divides to discover common ground through facilitated conversation and music. In 2022, Music in Common was honored as CNN Champions for Change for their work with the Project.

In times like these—when division and chaos feel all too real—this tour is about bringing people together to remind us of our shared humanity
