Tai chi classes suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners are offered at the beautiful Woodland Community & Senior Center! Tai chi (太极) is an ancient Chinese martial art that is practiced mainly for physical and mental health. It is a type of moving meditation in which breathing is coordinated with a series of slow, fluid movements and postures; regular participation increases strength, balance, and focus. Class covers postures, movements, and the simplified 8- and 24-forms. Your instructor, Tina Duan, is a tai chi expert who trained as a professional in China. Drop-ins welcome. First class is free! |
